    Catfishing lake Whitney/aqualia

Been wanting to get into the catfishing for a while now.
Going to be fishing from the bank, I'm just not sure where to go or what set up I should use.

Any tips will be very helpful.

I've been fishing that lake for years. Live shad or cut shad will be best for blues and channels. If using threadfin shad, thread them on a hook head first covering the barb with the tail meat. Just enough weight to get it out from the bank in 5-8 foot of water at night, or more if fishing a clear day. You might even catch other species too, on the shad.

find some grass or rocks the wind is blowing into and float a shad or stink bait a couple feet down. Most cats turn off for me around 10am when I'm bank fishing, we call it 10am lock jaw.

Aquilla has some good fish, not many places to fish from bank though.

                Thanks for the tips.

Fished the two lakes my whole life, just never could catch the fish unless I was with a guide.
