    Uncle of the Year!

Trying to win Uncle of the year... lol

I am going to make 6 knives for my nephews and another for my son. All going to be made from old files and small like these first two.

Had a couple hours over the weekend and started shaping these.

Going to just do simple oak handles and letter punch their initials in each of them. Going to shoot to have them all done for Christmas presents.

I ground into that tang a little while removing the plastic handle from it but its not too deep and will be covered by the handle. Oops

        SWEET!

Do you just grind down to the desired shape and then how do you adjust the hardness to make it knife worthy?...or is it already the right hardness?
