Looking at putting a carport over my container 40', is these workable? What longhts? Or 2 each 21' ones and putt them up.

Doable! We did it at our church with 2 - 40 ft and a 20 ft in between across the end. Used 2 3/8 pipe trusses and closed in the front with a walk through and roll up door.
