Just caught up on this! Shooting varmints is just something we do here in Texas without hesitation. I could see myself easily doing the same thing. Lesson learned. I'll definitely read the rules closely before I leave for Nebraska in a few weeks.

Good, the Wardens were actually pretty cool cats (pun intended). I understand they have a job to do and everything was handled in a professional manner. I'll be back up there next year.
