Well I appreciate the advice. I need to put in some range time with some lighter ammo but for now I am going to feed her what she likes [emoji3][emoji895]

It ain’t about lighter Ammo, it’s that BTs tend to blow up and do a lot of meat damage. You’ll lose some meat because of the blood shock.

Would a 150 grain Nosler Partition be a better option because I have that too?

Forgive my ignorance all this came with the rifle when it was gifted to me by my grandfather.

Nope, I double lunged a blackbuck doe with my .270 and had to blood trail her for 30 yds, funny thing is I have shot two big axis bucks in the same spot, under the same feeder and both of those were DRT.....tough little critters.

That bullet would do very well.

I wouldn't sweat it. If they are the hunting ballistic tips you will be fine. If they are the varmit ballistic tips it might get a little nasty but the blackbuck will die.

It is if you want it to live after being shot

                        Dead is dead.

I won't shoot ballistic tips at anything other than a varmint. Why anyone would blows my mind.

                          Shoot the Partition. Better choice.

I shot a 100 lbs doe last night with a 30.06 with 150grn bullet. Hit her in the neck, dropped her in her tracks and didn't hurt a bit of meat, except some neck roast that's going to get ground up anyway.
