I think we can all agree that coleman, Igloo and the other "regular" cooler makers are all just about the same level of quality/durability. If I need a 45 quart beer cooler for the weekend I walk into walmart and buy the one that is on sale for 15.99 because they are all pretty much the same.
My question is:
Are we almost there with the roto-molded coolers? One may have nicer handles or a better drain but pretty much they are getting to be all the same.
If you break it all down how much different is the Yeti vs Brute vs the new Igloo? They are all three tough as nails, all hold ice longer than the traditional coolers.
Should we see these coolers selling for 99 dollars for a 50 quart within the next 3 or 4 years?
PLEASE dont tell me they are not all the same, that yeti has better this or brute has better that.... I'm conceding that each has one or more better "function points" than the other.
What I'm saying is that they are basically the same - Rotomolded, tough as nails and hold ice well.
