Best Places to eat St. Louis, MO

So I'm taking my wife to STL for her birthday to see Kevin Hart and need to know some places to take her to eat. Lunch and dinner. Dinner would be a more upscale dinner. Where would y'all recommend?

    Thanks!

If you like genuine Italian food, go out to The Hill and try one of their local restaurants. Other than that I can't help.

Hodacks for chicken. Pappys for BBQ.
If you go to the Hill for Italian try Cunetto House of Pasta.

Pappys is ok by STL BBQ standards but they run out of food quickly. If you want the St Louis experience do Italian and like some of had said, The hill is a good recommendation for authentic Italian food. Now that I live in St Louis, not a big fan of the food. Go for the experience and do Italian.

We have been there a few times for the NASP Nationals. We stay in the part of town near the Louisville Slugger factory. There are a lot of cool Pubs and eateries in the old part of town down by the river. We have enjoyed the food at all of them!!!

Where are you staying? Tony's is the most famous Italian restaurant on the hill. I grew up there and can give you some ideas.
