Great day in the knife shop.

Three of these are sold, but I'm pretty excited about my new Bird and Trout knife. I've seen a lot of them lately, but I prefer one with a longer blade. I used a brass liner for it. Not sure if I want to make a kydex or leather sheath.

Nice to have an easy week, last week I made and sold 14 and still managed to do a little pig hunting Saturday night.

I really like that bird and trout knife. What is the handle material? Is the one handle scale that much thinner than the other in person or is it camera angle

It is black paper micarta, it's 3/16ths thick and I added a 1/16 brass liner to it. I think it's the camera angle. The pictures don't really capture how nice it looks in person.

I have been looking for such a knife. What are the dimensions and is it for sale?

It's for sale in the classifieds.

And I like to use 1075, it's like 5160 on steroids... I love it has enough manganese to produce nice hamons and tough as nails.
