Deer come to our feeders but the Big Bucks ONLY come to the antler max protein blocks. Ive tried several different types of blocks with no success until i put the antler max blocks and the deer won't leave them alone.

I gave up trying to keep a feeder running on our place. It just seems to be a game for the bears to try and bring them down.

On a side note I got some good news and was drawn for Hagerman this year so I will be a little distracted from Oklahoma until the middle of November.

Something else I found that the deer really like is Buck Ration. It's a corn soy bean mix and the deer just really like it.

I couldn't find any Antler Max locally so I asked the girl a Tractor Supply in Roanoake to order some. I grabbed a couple biologic mineral rocks and I'm headed up this afternoon to put out a few cameras.....we shall see.

Went up yesterday to check cameras and such. The deer seemed to really the trophy rock 4-65 supplement.

The one antlered guy, let walk or take him out if we can?

Russell's feed store in Haslet or McDonnell Hardware in Keller should have them.

Anyone have any pictures of their hanging feeder set ups? I think I will build one and see if I can make it bear proof.

went up for a long day trip yesterday wiht everyone on the lease. we got feeders filled, 7 cameras out, trimmed shooting lanes and our entrance road, as well as game planned for th next work weekend before the season starts. I'm on my seventh year on this place and Ive never seen it so grown up. Our place is a jungle. tons of hog sign and the briars and broom weed have choked it out pretty bad. we should be in for a good antler year considering all the groceries.

Good deal. I went up too and planted food plot (early..) filled feeders and cleared some shooting lanes. Added mud flares to ranger. Anyone hear of half doors being sold for the mod-size 570? I can't find them anywhere only for full size.Name: IMG_2199.jpg

It looks like the big boy made it back this year. I haven't seen him on camera since mid December 2016. The 1st pic is from last year.

You are not kidding about it being dry, none of the usual spots had any water and it was like a dust bowl getting around the place. We got a bunch of stands hung and more corn on the ground ready for opening day now.

Been hunting the area for several years. This is the first year we've had bears on the game camera. Think my dad is going to get a tag. Time to start hitting the donut shops and bakeries for leftovers.

Use sardines and bacon flavored dog food over the doughnuts. We have went the doughnuts route 3 years in a row and they pull off the sweets just before season.

Good weekend in choctaw county, bucks got hard horns and are beginning to get stirred up. Made some mock scrapes, on top of the rubs and scrapes I have found. Scent and corn is out, just waiting for opening day now! The only thing I'm worried about now is the rapidly increasing hog population
Good luck folks!

Slow yesterday and today. The bright moon and wind did not help things at all. Think between four of us we saw one bear and a doe or two.

Good Luck

We had 6 guys in camp. Deer moving pretty well, small bucks and doe. One member shot a 8 this morning this is the only picture I got of him, he was already in the ice chest by the time I made it back to camp.
