I love the way they fly and they are easy to resharpen and great penetration but i'm not real happy w/ the blood trail. I will keeo shooting hogs and elk with them but i think i'm going back to slick tricks for deer. When i switched to deep six fmj injections slick tricks did not offer deep six at the time so i started shooting solids. I did brake one this year after i had shoot 2 deer and a hog with it. I stuck it in the hog's offside leg bone then he ran into the feed pen pulling the arrow back out. It broke the ferrle and the screw that holds the blade in. The blade was still in his bone. So i need to send that head back for a new one.

Speed kills!!!! I know some disagree but I minimizes my margin of error when judging distances by flattening my trajectory. The Halon is quiet enough that a heavier arrow won't dampen it enough to justify an extra 125 grains. Now if I was shooting a cape buffalo or some other big game animal my analysis would be quite different.
