    Most devastating pig round?

What is the most devastating caliber for pigs? Planning on running ballistic tips, but what caliber does the most damage? In the 1-300 yard range!
Wanting a new gun with a stainless finish and don’t know what caliber to go with is the reason for the post... One round that piqued my interest is a .224 valkryie, any other suggestions?

Any round is good but I shoot them in the head with my 22-250.

I’ve killed pigs with a .223 all the way up to a 30-06. Of course the 30-06 is more than plenty. I have a 25-06 and haven’t had one run with it unless I gut shot them to run off and die elsewhere so I don’t have to mess with them. I shoot the Hornady interlokts 117 gr and it straight up devastates

I’m fixing to rig a 308 bolt gun for hogs.

Same here. Going to experiment with different rounds.

For true devastation go big and fast!

I drilled 4 100ish pound pigs with a single round from my 416igby. The last pig had a the entrance wound of about 1 inch and bigger exit, the bullet was still going.

I have yet to shoot pigs with my 50BMG due to what's beyond it. Maybe one day.

Have some Barnes 647gr TSX's that will make any shot angle possible for hunting. It's on the left,260 Rem in the middle and a 750gr Amax on the right. The amax would probably come apart on a critter.
