Don’t know why I am still up! Have to have Macie at the Med center at 5:30am for her pump replacement. Yes that means a nice 3:30am pull out time. Ill update as the morning goes.

Our little girl got bumped out of pediatrics! She’s 19 now so we had to go to the adult side.

Good news is they shouldn’t have to change the cath (tube) that goes from the pump to Macie’s spine. That was the site of her first infection when she first had the pump installed.

Surgery went well. She is in recovery now

We finally got to come back to recovery. Her stomach is HUGE! I’m not sure she is going to fit in her wheelchair. This could be a major issue. The nurse doesn’t like the way it looks. So calling the Dr to come take a look.

Dr says it’s normal. 1- new pump is twice as big as the old one. 2- that means they had to do a lot of “opening up” in order for it to fit so there is swelling. So we are busting out of here
