Guys, me and the wife are doing a weekend get away and was curious on your thoughts of the place. How's the casino atmosphere, table mins., drinks, food, pool? Anything we need to do that you think would consider a must see while there as we just moved back to houston a few months ago and this will be our first trip.

I was there a couple weeks ago, saw between 10 and 25.. There was one roulette table that stayed at 15 all night, as well as a 2 hand bj table (BIL won 2K the first night here). The nugget was a little more expensive, played 50 dollar bj for a few hours there. Casino is nice, so is the hotel. Good luck!!

I was there last weekend with my wife. We got a room for the weekend. Tables are 25min during the peak hours, non peak hours I saw some for 10/15 min. We enjoyed the stay. I talked to some of the dealers and found some hole in the wall place to eat at so we didnt have to stay on site the whole weekend.

Fun place. Bring lots of money. Table minimums suck on peak hours of the weekend; especially Saturday night. Both casinos also get very crowded Saturday night.
What we typically do for a weekend trip is try and get there Friday mid-afternoon. The table minimums aren't too bad Friday evening and the casino isn't nearly as crowded as it will be Saturday evening. Gaming during the day on Saturday also is pretty good. It's not until about 6:00 p.m. that the $15 dollar tables will start to move to $25 and the crowd starts to get bad. We generally make a nice dinner reservation for 7:00 p.m. Saturday either at Embers (at L'auberge) or Vic & Anthony's (at GN). We also don't gamble much after dinner. It's just too darn crowded and very smokey. Maybe a slot machine or two, but the tables are just too crowded. We typically have the gambling fix taken care of from Friday night through most the day Saturday anyway.
Oh and there is a tram that goes between both resorts, so it's fun to tour the other place at some point. Walking is an option too. It's about 1/2 a mile from door to door.
Really fun place, but there's so much weekend demand from Houston area, which keeps the table minimums high. More affordable gaming can be found at Coushatta, but it's another 45 minutes down the road and not quite as nice.
