Default Everything Mixed Drinks

Okay, I am not typically a mixed drink guy but, the ďPain KillerĒ from Cheddars is fricken awesome! A quick search online a few months ago revealed the recipe and it is pretty spot on.

2 parts Pusserís Rum
1 part orange juice
1 part cream of coconut
4 parts pineapple juice
A dash of nutmeg

What is your favorite drink and the recipe?

Michael

Mine is about the same, just replace "Boss Hog" with "bourbon or scotch of the week"

If I'm not in a liquor mood, or outdoors, it's a good mojito.

Our main summer ďgo toĒ would have to be a GT.

Gin of your choice (I prefer Tanqueray)
Tonic water (I prefer HEBís house brand)
Squeeze in a wedge of lime
Add ice and relax by the pool or on the deck.

I do like the Painkiller but I have yet to get a strong one at Cheddar's. I guess it's the bartenders training? It is our go to summer pool drink. I do prefer the Plantation 5 year or Flor de Cana 12 year rum in mine.

Another variation that I make is below, our name is not TBH appropriate, lol
Clear Rum 1.5 oz
Pineapple Juice 2 oz
Orange Juice 2 oz
Melon Liquor (Midori) 2 oz
Coco Real 1 oz

Usually mix scotch or garrison bros with one ice cube, or crown with a glass full of ice. That said I enjoy an old fashioned, gin and tonic or vodka topo chico. For a true mixed drink the Tommy Bahama Coconut Cloud Martini is a thing of beauty. Few shots worth in each and they go down in a few sips. We have made them a few times at home which is dangerous for me. How we do them:

Shot of White Rum
Shot of Coconut Rum
Shot of Vanilla Vodka
Shot of Coconut Cream

Shake with ice, pour into a martini glass if you want to be fancy. Try to go slow..

Bulliet Rye on ice.

But on those hot days by the pool a Big Blue Meanie is pretty good.

4 oz Bombay Saphire Gin or Tito's or Enchanted Rock vodka
2 oz Blue Curacao Liqueur
4 oz Sweet And Sour Mix

Fill pint glass 2/3 full with ice. Add ingredients to shaker, shake and pour over ice.

You old fashioned guys need to go to specs and get real maraschino cherries from Italy. About $20 for the jar. 3 of those with a dash of juice instead of the sugar cube

I believe the Crown Royal Peach is no longer available. I keep looking and not finding it.

Bird Dog peach is not bad. It's a bit syrupy though.
