    You're kind of along the lines of what the clinic is going to do. Drain, antiseptic, pack, antibiotics.

    Personally I'd keep cleaning it up and roll with it a couple days

                If it is staff you're gonna need something a lot stouter than home medications. Picc line is required to keep it from moving through the blood stream.

                    A soak in hot water with Epson salt can't hurt. The warm water is going to increase blood flow and speed healing. my 2 cents!

                        This ^^^^^. Working in a machine shop, I get these on a regular basis. It doesn't take much of a shaving and sometimes you can't see it even when it comes out. I usually dig them out with an X-acto knife.

                          I've had staph and it is NO fun. But when I got it I had swelling with pain in and around the area and had slight fever.
