    The great Ennio Morricone...

Has died at 91. Even if you don't know his name you know his music. He composed the soundtrack to hundreds of films. This may be his most iconic, as performed by the Danish National Symphony:

If you google his career you will be shocked at how many great movies he wrote for.

Man, this is awful news. Morricone wrote one of my absolute favorite pieces I’ve ever listened to. Lot of movies out there wouldn’t be the same without him, but his music stands on its own too. Sad stuff...

A musician asked me this morning for a link to those. Great and very complicated music....

                  Great movies and great soundtracks.

Charlie Daniels passed on the same day.

                  RIP to both.
