Wow. I would have lost money betting that he didn't go 100 yards and that he wasn't mid 30's.
    the shot looked great.

At the beginning of the video, that buck in the background is a spitting image of him..

Nice buck and great video. That big eight that was off in the distance has a very similar frame.

Nice looking crowd at the buffet!

Thanks for sharing the video in addition to your live hunt. A lot of valuable lessons in this for all of us, and unlike you we didn't have to suffer thru a few days of anguish. Im just glad you were ultimately able to recover him.

That is one thing you just don't see in East Texas or at least not the places I hunted. Must be a lot of fun sitting there watching all those bucks! Great shot... My wife was like "But the arrow fell out" and I said "No that is what we call a clean pass through."

She understood after the slowmo.... congrats!

He went up hill into some of the thickest nastiest cedar in my area. He died right below an old oil field pad that is cutout on an upper elevation hill side.
He almost made it up and over that pad.

I appreciate all the kind words everyone and following in on my adventure.
Definitely learned and got reminded on what to do and not do.

He is my biggest 8pt. and I'm proud to have him home.
