Randomness from Kerr, Real & Bandera Counties

Opted to spend some time after work this week roaming the Western quadrant of my world here in the hills. Cruised the Three Twisted Sisters...Ranch Roads 335, 336 and 337.

Spotted this guy in Western Kerr County....huge high fence place and slipped over fast enough to pull this shot. I pushed the light here....it was at the end of my shoot window.

Somewhere between Medina and Vanderpool. I can only imagine 175 years ago....the sound of thunder, dust on the horizon and a dark mass of moving bodies.

    The Irresistible Shot

RR 337 Noted a few dust bunnies on this shot...just not up to fixing it via software today but I did give the lenses a good cleaning.

I spot a scene on one of the dozens upon dozens of hair pin curves and bail out to climb up for a closer look. During the hike up to that scene.....a group of riders thunder by. My first shot of the "Drive-by Biker" sequence.....note the lead bike's patriotic theme.

I turn to focus on the reason why I climbed the hill in the first place and realize...patriotism runs deep.

Nice! I like the old boot. My girlfriends grandparents have an old boot on their front gate. I've been meaning to try to get some good pics of it, but forget the camera when I go out there. The boot on the post reminds me that I need to get that done.

Our ranch is in Bandera county and I love spending time up there, especially on the twisted sisters
