My son and I will be driving up Friday night and camping at the park.

Bag limit is 2 white-tail deer, either-sex with no antler restrictions.

Good luck. I did the archery hunt last year. Saw tons of deer, but only one small buck.

I talked to the Park Super last week. They have had feeders up in all 8 compartments for the past month feeding corn. Says they have seen plenty of does and hogs and 2 nice mature bucks, but a youth has yet to harvest a mature buck there.

I secured an AirBnB room 7 minutes from the park for $30/night.
Truck is loaded with blind, chairs, camo and coolers.
Heading North tomorrow after the boy exits the school house.

Sleet and snow here in Abilene with an occasional mix of rain.
Temps falling. 38 @ 5am and currently 34 @ 915.
I only see 2 other trucks. Waiting on meeting room to open for a 10am orientation.

All between 730-9am this morning

We hunted in the snow and had a snowball fight in town last night.
Perfect wonderful weekend with my boy taking his first deer and the same age as I was. And we both scored spikes as our first deer. It couldn't have been more perfect!
