    Tactical glove recommendations

Hello all. Looking to get my wife some tactical gloves for Christmas. We like to go to the range and shoot handguns. She enjoys it and is really good at it, but gets very nervous due to a medical condition she has called hyperhydrosis. Basically her hands sweat an unbelievable amount. For her, shooting a handgun makes her somewhat nervous, making her sweat out of her hands, which makes her more nervous, which makes the sweating continue, and she has it in her head that the recoil is going to make the gun slip out of her hands when she shoots. Any recommendations? I have been to about 3 stores and can't find a good recommendation via Google so trying the green screen.

    Thanks in advance, all.

For that specific issue, I would recommend upgrading the grip on the pistol (stippling, talon grips etc.) before gloves. The gloves will just trap all the moisture and have a major effect on her grip position.

Look into an iontophoresis machine,i use one on my feet for the same thing and it works if you take the time to do it.

I sometimes use Oakley, 5.11, or Mechanix gloves in the summer. I have a stippled pistol that dry is as sticky as could be, but once my hands start sweating, as slick as could be. Throw some gloves on and back to having a solid grip.

I carry a pair of Hatch brand search gloves for work and have shot and qualified using them several times with no issue.

The Hatch Specialist All-Weather Neoprene Shooting Gloves offers accurate feel and secure weapon manipulation with its Extreme Grip reinforcements on the palms and fingertips for added traction on duty or at the range.

These are easy on the pocket book and are good for shootIng because they are tight fitting and won’t stretch out.

                    I’ll second the stippling.

There is a small surgery that can fix hyperhydrosis, I don't know specifics, but it has a very good track record. Just something to know.

There was this OJ fella that had some tight fitting gloves that would work well. Dont know where he got them....

If nothing else just get some aerosol deodorant/antiperspirant (unscented) and spray hands down before going to the range

I'll be 3rd. I have run many tactical operations. Most of those without gloves. I can't stand them. I've been through countless pairs trying to find a glove that I like to operate in, because protecting your hands in an operation matters. I got to where I would only wear gloves when I was breaching a window for a "port and cover" assignment or was actually making entry through a window as a secondary entry point.

I can't stand the loss of feeling I get from wearing gloves and operating a weapon; especially a pistol. Even when I do wear them, they have at least both index fingers and thumbs cut off.

A nice pair of real shooting gloves. There tight as well as flexible and will help out tremendously.
