I hope every mother lovin piece of trash that voted for joe biden is freezing their *** off right now! This is what he has planned...no oil, no coal, no fossil fuels, no nuclear.....and no ****ing heat! Wind and solar kids, thatís where your fearless leader sees the solution, unless it gets cold, of course.

I hope those sobs are miserable....morons.

Anyone want to guess what happens to batteries in extreme cold?

Don't worry, they just spent somewhere in the 15-20 Million on a failed impeachment attempt, so I am sure they have no problem spending more of our money.

They all should be run out of office.....just waiting for Beijing Biden to start pointing fingers.

This is an epic failure of colossal proportion. Also lot's of people on here saying things that are false. Please quit guessing. The reason why I haven't had power to my house in almost 16 hrs now isn't because of "downed lines."

There is a lot of disinformation going around the web right now about this.

I am typing this from a hotel room not even 1/2 mile from my house where I lost power at midnight. Nothing rolling here. Fine at the hotel, just not the house.

Anybody watch the news this morning in Houston and see the "skyeye" shot? Funny how downtown buildings were lit up with no one in them yet surrounding neighborhoods were blacked out.

I have talked to people this morning that are in Pearland, Texas City, Spring, Woodlands, The Heights, all without power since midnight.

Got a 93 year old grandmother? What about a 2 month old baby?

Another day/night of this without power to heat homes and this will end badly.

ERCOT is deciding who gets power and who doesn't.
How does that decision get made? Why do some nursing homes have it and some don't?
Why are some rolling and some without it for an entire day?

Well our house is starting to look like a flop house—some friends of ours haven’t had power since 3 this morning and are headed over with their kiddo to stay here. We have another couple with out power and they too might be headed over. Our little 2 bed/ 2 bath house is going to be cozy

We are back up and running after being down since 9. Not gonna unhook the generator for an hour or so to see if they knock it back off again.

Not sure what all causes it with snow but we had power out here at home and at our ranch last time there was snow and no ice. Iím not a lineman so I donít know all the different reasons. This time though we had a little ice not been heavy and I have see lots of poles laid over in the roads. Luckily the ones I have seen here affect very few people

Called Karnes Coop a couple times today, been off an on since last night. Karnes said Ercot has directed them to do rolling outages do to strain on the grid. On for an hour off for 3-4 hours.

What’s causing it? You said it isn’t downed lines so I assume you know what’s going on?

I have seen natural gas plants are having lots of isssues also so maybe just a bad combo of things not keeping enough power available. At least here at home they’re keeping us going but it’s been in and out 20-30 times today since we got up

It isn’t a guess. Ercot came out and said it is a capacity issue. Notice how the distribution companies are always on their game on telling when you should get your power back, are all of a sudden quiet?

The president of Centerpoint laid out very distinctly what is going on in an interview with Houston ‘media’.

They basically said to Houston, there are no more rolling blackouts in our area. If you do t have power now, don’t bet on power till tomorrow afternoon at the earliest. They are trying to protect critical infrastructure right now.

The lack of Nat Gas. We know that.

The issue is why have over a million households been without power for close to 24hrs now and some have never lost it.

Areas/grids with critical infrastructure gets the juice.

If you are on the same grid as the local hospital, more than likely, you have lights.

Same thing happens during hurricanes and who gets power back first.

The bar down the road has power. The subdivision across the street from it does not. Is the bar critical infrastructure?

Good luck.
Both of my trucks fuel gelled up and couldnít go anywhere. Luckily I had my trailblazer 325 here and I wired that sucker up to my cutoff box and we pretty much have electricity for nearly the whole house. So as long as we do t run out of fuel we should be good. I did pick up 20 gallons during the whole January ordeal so that kinda worked out I guess.

We lost power at 3:45 this morning and it has not been back. Contacted our provider which is Taylor electric coop, they said it was because of the rolling blackouts. Sent me a couple of links in the reply. I went to them and read what they said, 15 minutes to possibly and hour. I replied to our coop that 8 hours was a **** long time for a 15-60 minute rolling blackout! They then said it was AEP transmission line that went into their metering location that was down. Now they are saying AEP is going to fix their line until sometime tomorrow. It is -2 right now in Callahan County. 48 in the house with a propane Dearborn heater trying to keep up.

Gents,

I manage a power plant in east Texas. Almost 900 MW of power. We're doing our best in a plant designed for 20F, but operating down to -1F tonight.

Will try to keep the lights on for you!

Still no power since 5 am. Rode into town to get generator fuel. Plenty of power there. There is nothing but power lines from town to my house. Not sure ***! Got a generator set up with a light a small heater at my mom so she's comfortable.

We got power back for about an hour and a half late this afternoon. Enough to pump some heat back in but just shot temps on the door jamb and window frames reading 15ish degrees. Fire cranking, gonna be a long cold night. I’d pay crazy money for a 15K generator right about now...

Y’all be safe and keep warm!

We’ve been fortunate to keep power this entire time. Starting to think I am on the hospital grid that ties into The Woodlands hospital systems. We only lost power for a few short hours during Harvey, and that’s the only time in my 5 years here.

I feel for you all and sure hope your power comes back on. This week is going to stay cold.

My power came back on about an hour ago. Been off since 4AM.

The fish are biting, and there's hogs to be kill-t. Gotta go!

NW san antonio (helotes area) our power has been on/off since last night about 10pm. It’ll stay on for 2:40sec or so and off for 30-45mins. thank God our fireplace is gas which has been on since yesterday evening. so tell me again why folks voted Dem?
