Settled back into 00. Did a little brush trimming. I can see a little better.

Y’all, Collette’s buck was a stud. Giant 8.

Small buck and a big pig. Swapped arrows. He gets close enough I am going to shoot him in the face.

Tank came in again. Could have taken shot at 27, but didn't stop long and that's out of our comfort range. Then he fed with his head in shooting lane at about 23 yards, but would never step out. We thought he was going to the other shooting window, but then he turned and walked back away from us and out of sight.

Hoping he's just checking something out and comes back.

Tried shooting the pig in the face. Wide right. By not much. Oh well, now maybe the deer will come in.

Last chance for Lilo to get it done! Our encounter yesterday was exciting but ultimately extremely deflating!...just like the 6 or seven previous encounters with this buck! I have a good feeling about this morning!

I think we’re going to need this to happen early. ENE wind is OK for this setup, but the more it shifts to E and S the worse JT is for us...

Amazingly beautiful morning...and pretty big swing from the hot temps of last evening hunt.
Back in 12 to close the season out with the blind I started the season with.

Saw a couple bucks easing through mesquites along the edge of this field. Nothing else has emerged except the steam off this thermos full of piping hot coffee.Name: 20210207_072707.jpg

Great deer. Perfect shot and a short track. The girls are costing me taxidermy $ this year!!
Not a lot of deer not broken up this late in the season. Glad this one was a lover, not a fighter! Until next year!
