    Traditional FSC Week 35

This week will be based off Fred Bear scoring and quartering shots. I used a paper plate, and traced a quarter in the center. This is your 12. My plate has an indention near the edge, which I traced for a 10 ring. If your plate doesn’t have it, the circle is about 5 1/4” in diameter. Doesn’t have to be exact, just a rough guess. The outer circle is the 8, and off the plate is a miss for -5.

Stand 9 yards away on a 45 degree line from your target. I’m attaching a sketch for those of us who haven’t had coffee. One shot per day, three days (shots) total. Highest cumulative score wins, with closest to center being used, in the event of a tie.

Imagine your next Pope and Young trophy strolling by, and pausing in a small window just past your ground blind.

This one is for sure cool. I put my target up on the edge of the raised bed at the garden to get it up near Mule Deer tall. A guy can dream. Even used a speed square and tape measure to make sure I was all lined up as per the diagram. Thanks!!

Nicely done! I’d say that was a short tracking job on your muley!

Nice shot CQ! Looks like you'll have a similarly short tracking on that critter.

                  All tied up so far.

Thank you, Ma'am. I was a bit surprised, at 9 yards I was expecting my shot to be high. I'll be out of pocket until Thursday, will try to shoot again Friday.
