How do they determine these numbers? Votes don't get counted until after the election, correct?

No they don't count the votes, but when you sign in, your registered party affiliation can get tallied... It is possible some DemoKrauts may actually vote republican or libertarian or even a republican might vote for a libertarian, but SURELY ain't no self-respectin' republican gon' vote for a dang DemoKraut?!!
