Thanks. Iíd imagine that things should be rocking and rolling when you arrive. This cold front has deer on there feet.

Glad to hear that! Weíre about to get off into the no cell service zone for the next few days. Good luck!
I got a mature cull buck on the hit list, hoping myself or my cousin make it happen this trip.

Didnít see crap all day. Moved onto an northwest facing ridge and hoping my luck changes in the morning. Bumped some deer on the way out so I know theyíre around. Might have to move my stand mid-morning and see if I canít get closer to where I bumped those deer. They were in some thick stuff. Iím currently set up on the edge of some post oaks and a bunch of brush.

Choctaw county checking in, very little movement even with the cold front. Bucks are all moving after dark, quite the lull occurring.

I saw lots of deer movement on Friday and Saturday. Had a buck come over the ridge I was on scent checking for does and saw another one chasing.

We've seen a few bucks cruising but nothing like when the cold snap hit two weekends ago. Seems like the deer are so set on acorns they aren't moving to food plots or feeders like they normally wood at this time of year. Two days left....

Reports from guys that have been there all week say the bucks are moving a lot better now, seeing more deer move especially bucks during mid-day. Saw a couple bucks making scrapes last 2 days. Caught this guy on camera mid day

We just got back after a week of hard hunting and between four guys only saw a handful of bucks. I've owned the property for going on four years and never seen it so slow. Not just bucks but does too. Every deer we did see, was slow rolling through the oaks eating acorns and the rut basically **** down at my place. Hoping this weekend kicks back off as I head back up with my kids. We passed a bottle of Muscadine Wine around the fire and came up with several excuses but ultimately, we struck out good luck to everyone I personally can't wait for cold weather and acorns to spoil!

Plenty of rifle hunters out this weekend. Had to run one off our property. Lots of pressure on the backside of our place, but managed to see 5 small bucks Saturday in the middle of the day. Trying to learn the new property this year has been tough especially with the acorn crop and the deer absolutely not touching any corn.

Been up since Saturday and been slow for us. Nothing coming to our plots or feeders, gotta be the acorns. Cameras show good movement around first of November. Hope others had better luck. We are still seeing bears on camera in November!

Not as much shooting as I thought there’d be up in Honobia, but I knocked an old ten opening morning, which was one of maybe two shot I heard. Since then two more decent bucks have come from surrounding camps, but action has definitely slowed down since the weekend. Pictures to come when I get back to a computer.

I spent all week up there and only saw 1 deer. This has been the worst season ive had EVER. Very hard to sit all day and look at nothing. Deer have moved to night time feedings and the cameras confirm that. I hope December changes!

I had a great encounter with a nice buck during muzzleloader season but the sun put a glare into my peep sight and he moved before I could shoot. He broke his main beam off a little bit now. Saw a huge 8 point, which I think is the one my buddy killed last weekend, about 4 weeks ago. Moved my stand to within 20 yards of that trail and haven’t had a deer pass that way since. Really slow on our place, we are seeing deer about 1 out of 3 sits. We did manage to kill 2 hogs and a giant 8 point last weekend. Pics to come.

Well Gents, looks like things have been a little slow this season in Godís country. A gaggle of good bucks on camera (as usual) with a few on the ground. Congrats to those that have connected.

Iíve kept my head down this year as Iíve worked on a masterís degree while working and keeping up with three kiddos and a wife. Semester is finally over so I thought Iíd catch up and check in.

We are still hunting our place near Nashoba. Still got some excellent bucks that are skilled at eluding us. Food plots really struggled with the lack of timely rain and bears are getting more prevalent on our place.

My 13 year old got it done with her crossbow. Her first deer with a broad head was exciting.

I put a little buck in the freezer and shot a doe on the same sit. One of only two hunts in the mountains this season.

Got drawn for and participated in the MCAAP trad hunt in November for the second time. Movement was nonexistent but I did shoot a coyote. First animal with a recurve was a thrill!

With my son starting to pull the trigger next season too it will be quite the challenge getting everyoneís hunts in.

I plan on getting back up in January before next semester classes begin.

Thanks for picking up the slack in my absence!

God bless

Micah

Ran cams last night when O got to camp and am seeing little daytime activity. Sat a small foot plot (food plot has been hammered to the ground) this morning and saw nothing.

Bugged out and am heading back ahead of the slick stuff.

Cameras showed that the bucks are grouped back up and coming to the feed again. Heavy deer movement the 4 days before I was here, didn't see anything all day yesterday. Going to feed heavy before I leave today.

Same here, Bucks bachelored up and most feeding at night. The deer are HUNGRY for sure. Tried some alfalfa square bales and theyíre eating it nightly. Poured corn on it and in it to get them to try it and they took to it. I wonít be able to go back until the 8th and 9th. Iím hoping theyíre coming in the daytime by then.
