    Gun Gurus...Name that old Gun?

I was going through the gun safe today and pulled out an old gun I was given by a family friend over 25 years ago. I always thought it was very unique. It hasn't been cleaned in awhile but still in really good shape for its age.

Anyone care to guess what I have here just for fun?!

I’m gonna say 410. Looks very similar to one I have that is a Western Field brand but the fore end looks different. Either way, cool gun.

It looks like a Mossberg Model 183 D-C Bolt Action Shotgun.

I thought it was a 183 - don’t know the difference between the d-c and the t models though.

              I have a 12 gauge almost identical to that. It's a Mossberg.

The various "D" models had a screw on choke, the "T" variant was a fixed choke. Actually the picture could be any of the D variants as they only varied slightly internally.

                  Same here

I think mine might be a 16 gauge

You guys are GOOD! It's a Mossberg 410 with screw on Full Choke. When I got it I was in my early teens. I had never heard of a bolt action shotgun before. It's fun to squirrel hunt with. I've had my 6yo twin boys shooting it some earlier in the year. Cool gun for sure.

Most guys I show think it's a rifle and start guessing all kinds of calibers! Lol

I've got the same gun. It's killed a ton if squirrels, rabbits, dove, and even a few quail.

That gun was my squirrel killing machine from the time I was 8 till 18. I’m so glad to still have it and I can’t wait to go bag a limit of big fox squirrels again some day.
