I think I'd have to be hunting out of the out house if the deer are like that!!

It almost happened this morning. Had a Buck come in and got to about 12 yards . He saw me, but didnít spook. He turned quartering away and I tried to draw, and he either caught some movement or heard something and took off. We saw quite a few deer altogether and had a blast, but had to head home after the morning hunt. Iíll definitely hunt this place again.

Well...this was pretty much a horrible season on our lease. I had the chance to release 1 arrow all year, and that deer wasnít recovered. On a positive note she didnít die and is still around eating corn, but only at night now!! She has a scar in her shoulder to show for our encounter but other than that she seems fine. I did manage to kill a buck on November 18th with a rifle. Iím hunting still but with a muzzleloader trying to fill a doe tag in the late season, and not having much luck there either. Iíve hunted a lot and as always Iíve enjoyed the time in the woods, it just hasnít been to productive. Hopefully I can seal the deal with my muzzleloader and then if the hogs stick around Iíll be back to hog hunting with my bow soon. Hoping next season is better!!

I imagine by next month the hogs will be tearing it up. Good luck Ryan.
