I'd be more concerned with how you're gonna keep the water out if you're going to do the pit blind scenario, unless it's gonna be something sealed that you put into the ground and bury up. Otherwise, the cheapest fix I have found, is the black fleece blankets at Walmart. They're just a couple of bucks and even cheaper than that after winter starts winding down and you catch them on clearance. Best of luck to you, and I look forward to seeing pics of your build as you go.

So I took Loctite roofing caulk and used it like you would wood glue where walls meet floor and where the walls meet, and I over used the stuff to where it was oozing out everywhere. Then after that used same caulk on all seams around outside, then applied liquid rubber like paint to the blind. I don't think I will have a problem with water getting in. Its on high ground and well drained area. If it does I will dig it up and just make a ground blind out of it.

The fabric would make a great hiding place for scorpions--

Ground fabric from the garden center would be cheap and just staple or glue it up. IZf it won't let weeds grow, it's gonna be dark.

Heck yes. The next thing I am going to do is brush it in real heavy.

Not a bad idea however I did end up painting the interior black.
