    Bow shooting 4-6” right suddenly

I know, an archery thread in the off-season, what is going on here!!!!

Went out to shoot yesterday and flinging arrows 4-6” to the right. Unfortunately I was aiming at spots on the right side so 3 arrows into the fence with one broken. The others checked out fine.

Shot fine last weekend. Noticed some marks on the right side of the rest like I’m getting fletching contact. But the rest seemed tight and was at the same windage mark it has been since the bow was set up. Previously been a pretty decent tack driver.

Thoughts on what else I should check?

Form change of some kind? Grip?

I may have time to shoot again today, but anchor, release and grip all felt the same... but I’m not ruling that out at all

1.) Move your target 5" to the right.

        or

2.) Hold your bow 5" to the left.

First thing I’d check would be fletching contact. Borrow an old tube of lipstick from your wife or girlfriend and put that on the edges of the fletching and shoot. If nothing on the bow has changed and you’re getting fletching contact where you didn’t use to, do you think your grip has changed significantly? If you were close to contact before, it wouldn’t take much torque action at the grip maybe to have contact now.

If that isn’t it, look at the sight. I’ve had a sight come loose like that before but that typically causes left impacts, not right.

Another thing I’ve seen is the bubble in the sight being off. I’ve had one move to the point that I had to cant the bow significantly to get a level reading which causes a right impact. You would have probably noticed that it seemed like you had to cant the bow if that was the issue though. I knew quickly something was wrong with the sight when that happened.

My first thought was the nut holding the grip as well. [emoji6]

had a drop away once that was sticking and just barely catching the fletching.
try some oneshot dry lube or similar

Your probably gripping your bow. Open you hand and have fun shooting.

What distance are you having this issue?

                            Grip, release & form.

                            Don't torque, shoot open grip.
Squeeze the release, don't punch it.
See the arrow hit the target through the pins.

I would personally wait a day or two and not even think about it before shooting again.
