Congratulations but I have to ask since I grew up down here and had many friends with homes at Magnolia and Alamo Beach...

Our must haves were water views, all utilities already on site, trees, and be protected from storms.
Did you forget the part of your must haves about being protected from storms?

Too bad Fannie's isn't still there and open. That had to be the best seafood between Houston and Corpus.

Case in point are the pictures my Dad took before and after Hurricane Carla of Indianola and the mouth of Powderhorn Ranch just down the road from you.

Anyway again, congratulations, Magnolia beach is a great place with a decent beach and good fishing right off of the beach but safe from storms it is not.

A storm and a hurricane are 2 different things.

We actually faired very well during Harvey. The entire town did. Being anywhere near the coast you roll the dice though.

Thanks for the skinny bud. We are @ 15' above sea level, the places you named on the other side of the peninsula are 2-3' above normal tide levels at best.

Yea that's on me Brother...I saw Magnolia Beach, missed Froghunter, I know where his place is.

Chalk it up to a case of dumbassness.

Loaded down and ready for momma to get off work. The plan is to rebuild our power pole in the morning then get a line wet with froghunter after lunch. I am so ready. This will be the first night staying at our place!
