2018 Trad Harvest Thread
I made a great shot on a nice fat doe this afternoon. I saw her fall, and she left a blood trail that Stevie Wonder could have followed. Perfect for Zeke’s first track and recovery!!!! Zeke and I still have work to do to figure it all out, but he went pretty much right to her, and I was stoked to see that!
My buddy also shot a pig. We were unsure of the trail and were not in the right place, so Zeke didn’t do so well. My friend bumbled upon the pig, so I let Zeke see what a pig smelled like and chomp and chew on it a bit. While we were leaving, Zeke started pulling real hard to the side as we were going by the feeder. I let him do his thing, and we shortly came upon the arrow. Zeke smelled it, then bee-lined right back to the pig.
