    picked up free metal stairs

Son and I picked up this set of FREE metal stairs at the oil and gas valve company next to our Church.
Now I will have him bust out the geometry to cipher how tall the deer stand legs / platform needs to be for our 4 x 8 stand we just built.

Thanks! We (with permission) last week picked up some other scrap steel (son is leaning to weld, and has put beads on dang near every scrap I had).
I had seen these last week, dropped owner an email and he said "they are yours". Awesome.

Going to have to cut them down some, I think.
If I did my Jethro Bodean cipherin' correct: SIN(45) times 136" hypotenuse yields a leg height of 9.6 feet. Might be a little tall? KJ

                    12 rungs @ 7" rise per step = 84" = 7'.....give it another foot if @ 8" rise/step.

KJ: Son and I were offered the opportunity to look around the area more. I will keep eyes open for a 12' set

I had Son measure rise, he said 11.5" between. These are / were an industrial / warehouse style stairs. I will verify when I get home. KJ

Can you not lean it against something to where both sides are flush? then just measure to the top.
