What I do have is a large pill bottle with cotton balls with petroleum jelly on them stuffed into a small plastic baggie in there. Also inside is another small baggie with dryer lint in it. On top of that is a smaller pill bottle with some military all-weather and water-proof strike anywhere matches. I super glued a strip of sand paper to the top of that bottle for striking. As dumb as it sounds I can drop that big pill bottle into a pocket when I go out hunting and if I get lost I've at least got the means to make a fire. I doubt I'll ever need to use it but it's fun to have.

Cotton ball with a few drops of rubbing alcohol, in a metal pop bottle lid will stay lit for a little while. Some small sterile tear open pads in a first aid kits will work also.

Old roll of TP in a coffee can with alcohol will last for hours.

Honestly I have no idea. 200 maybe? It was a random piece that I had laying in the shop when I was building my get-the-heck-out bag (whole other story there) and I just kind of stumbled onto the idea.

I just made some char clothes about an hour ago. Old blue Jean's cut up and put them in a cookie tin with a vent hole and burn it until it stops smoking.

It's a great firestarter. I use it when I'm camping naked in my back yard and practicing my primitive survival skills.

Used to make char cloth out of old white cotton tshirts.

Cotton ball with petroleum jelly on it lights pretty good.
or 9v battery with steel wool

Also taste great with chili, cheese, and sour cream wrapped in a home made tortilla

Look up “fire roll” on YouTube. Cotton balls and ashes. And something to roll it between. Blew my mind.
