All these years of wearing Texasbowhunter.com gear has finally paid off. She had an opportunity a couple weeks ago and shot over the back of a nice deer...may even have been this one. I'll have to check. This guy strolled in and she said she wanted him. While there are bigger on the lease and she knows it, she could wait no more. After a solid 30 minutes of waiting on him to find the right shooting lane, he stood still at about 17 yards. Her shot hit its mark, though a tad high, and the deer bolted. We didn't wait the textbook 30 due to the fading light. We quickly found blood on a tree trunk and followed a fairly easy track about 60 yards to her downed trophy. Talk about a great moment for Dad and Daughter. She's thrilled as am I.

This is the same chick that dropped a 167" 10 point last year with her .243. She vowed that morning to go bow only and made it pay off tonight. I'm very proud of her and we'll enjoy the jerky, ground meat and european mount that is to come from this fine buck.
