Well I guess it was my turn....Got laid off after 12 years.

Got a meeting request to have 1x1 with my manager. Not unusual, but we just met two weeks ago. Joined the meeting to hear another person on the call. Got the speech about they are eliminating my job. HR rep was way too upbeat for me as he explained to me my severance package and all the resources that will be made available to me over the next two weeks.

My last day at is November 3rd. Already started making contacts with other companies, but could use some prayers. I've been an IT support tech a long time. Currently working on SSO(OneLogin.Okta, and Azure) implementations.

Will be praying hard for guidance to see what path he wants me to take.

Upside is I get all of deer season off.

I have been off on sick leave from surgery (not work related) and every time I see my manager's name on my phone I fear the same call.
