We have owned this place for like 20 years. I didn’t hunt it until last year after a 8 year break for silly reasons. In those 8 years the only bucks that got killed were 120-140” 3.5-4.5 year old 10 points. Basically the worst case scenario for growing big deer. Now I’m covered up with the 8 point gene. Found my only really promising 10 point that was 3.5 dead after season last year. So now my goal is to just keep shooting 8 points the next 2-3 years and hopefully get rid of some of them.
