I think Dove hunting is getting as confusing as Duck hunting!

Am I reading the new Dove hunting regulations right?
It looks to me like there is a 15 per day bag limit and out of that I can only have 2 Morning Dove, 2 White Tipped Dove and 13 White Wing Dove.
I am in the central zone.
Is this right or am I, as always, mixed up?

Central Zone- 15 bird bag limit and only 2 white tipped birds per bag. You can have 3 daily bag limits in your possession.

The rules you mentioned are related to the Special White Wing Zone. In that case you could also have 15 white wing and 0 white tip and 0 mourning.

Collared dove and pigeons have no limit or closed season.

I'm in the north. I read the book and it said only 2 white tipped. I thought they meant white wing. I had never heard of a white tipped. I shot two WW and stopped. LOL!

They are also called white fronted...should have taken a pic of the back side. They fly low & slow & look like footballs to me they are so fat. Attractive birds.


This is a small one...usually along really thick brush lines.
