Last Friday I made my annual trip to NW Oklahoma for the rifle opener. I have been making this trip for 10+ years and we always have a good time and usually kill some decent bucks. This year we had a few good ones on camera including a 12 that we all agreed was in the 170" range. I was hunting my usual wooded draw on opening morning when I caught a buck chasing a doe about 300 yds out. An hour later he ran across a 10yd opening about 70yds away and I had no chance to get on him. Another hour later he stepped out at about 130yds and gave me a shot. He was not he big 12 we had on camera but it ended up being a mainframe 9 with 3 extra stickers. Went 154" and is my biggest ever. Overall numbers were down but we did manage to kill a 154, 146, 140, 131 and 133.
Here is mine.
I'll get some other pics from our trip up soon .
