quick pig hunt before work-first blood of the season

I live/work in houston. My parents live in Hockley, TX right on the outskirts. They have been having pigs coming and tearing up their yard for awhile. They live in an area that is slightly more urban, so the HOA doesnt allow Firearms to be discharged. The trail camera had them coming in pretty consistently at 7am. I went and bought one of those quick setup 11'6" South Texas Tripods on Tuesday. Set it up Thursday night literally on the edge of their backyard and the easement. 20 yards from their house roughly. I got up in the stand at 5am and by 6 am The woods came alive with upwards of 10-15 pigs squealing and crashing through the woods. I listened to them drawing closer over the next hour until the first sow stepped out at 10 yards right at 7 am. Double lunged her about 5 secs after she stepped out. The angle was pretty steep so the arrow stuck into the ground. when she spun around to run she snapped the arrow in half. she ran 40 yards and was laying right where I heard her crash. Called my boss and told him i was putting in for half day vacation, so I could track and get her quartered/on ice. Then headed to work! A nice way to break in the season! Wish I would have thought to bring my camera and film it but honestly I probably wouldnt have had anything come out if i had.

My YouTube Channel is: Blzn04 I have a couple bowhunting videos from last year and a bunch of fishing videos from this year. Looking forward to getting some more bow kills this season on video!
