    Freak down...

This is the buck I had another thread on about unbranched antler bucks. Turns out he was a big spike on his right side. His left rear leg had an injury just above the hoof. looked like he caught it in a fence and eventually got out, but it mangled his hoof pretty bad and it eventually healed. He kinda limped and drug it around. He came out when the feeder went off, turned broadside and my father whacked him with the .308

Not sure if I would call it a freak but still a good kill if he was badly injured!

              DEER MEAT!!!!!

              He looks to be young.

I have an identical buck who is 4.5 this year and a little bigger. I was looking forward to him being a big tall 8. Well he damaged his antlers in the summer and grew exactly like that with a 1-2 inch beam past the spike.
