Anyone hunt these places?

I was curious of same...was thinking of going Feb-march time frame for a weekend staying at state park

I seen several deer around goat island a few weeks ago while froggin'
Two bucks- one mature, a few doe and fawn. Most bedded down near the banks.
I've considered trying it out myself just for the challenge. Take the boat in and camp on the island. Hunt from a climber.

Tried to go scout the islands with a canoe today. Giant Salvania made it impossible to get a canoe through there. heard lots of squirrel hunters

Hunted the NWR last year for a draw hunt. Warm and rainy, full moon, saw a doe & yearling. Feds cut staffing back, no longer enough manpower to do drawn hunts. Now it's archery only all season.

Have not hunted the WMA.
