Default Divorce your wife?

So many threads about wives applying for divorce. How many of you have filed to divorce your wife/ex-wife and how did that turn out?

I did. She had been messing with a few different guys, but dont believe she had cheated yet. Things were pretty bad then one day she told me she was going out of town with another guy and was gking to spend the night. I told her " no, you arent" and she said "yes, I am" so I told her if she does I will divorce her. She went, so I did. She was so busy partying she didnt contest it and we agreed on hkw we would split things and I agreed to pay her montlyfor her half and I got the house and primary custody of or then 3 and 4yo. The oldest ( 4yo ) graduated HS last month.

I did. Wasn’t meant to be for sure, and we had no kids involved and no combined debt. Able to do it uncontested and both used the same lawyer to do the legal stuff

If both play nice it can go as smooth as a divorce can.... which still sucks

Is there a way you can assure she wont get half of your 401k? We dont have kids so the most important thing is assuring she doesn't get half my retirement?

Good luck with that. What I did was sign over my part of the equity in the house. It's was about a wash with my 401k. Only differnce was, while I was drawing interest, she was paying interest.

See the hitman comment above.

Unless you negotiate otherwise, half of the PDV of the 401K (if all contributions were made during the marriage) is headed her way.

Yep my dads secretary was talking about retirement when her husband of 25 years blind sided her with filling, 1/2 her retirement and 1/2 the house and 1/2 his medical

The wife has decided to call it quits in all the divorces with my close friends. My dad worked with a woman who's husband filed for divorce when his last kid graduated high school. Said he'd been gay the whole time.

Like was said above, I filed on my ex and still got screwed. About to file on my current wife and am still going to get screwed.

In case anyone is wondering, men are screwed in divorce in a majority of divorce cases. And women want equality...........

I take you to be my wife to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God's holy law, and this is my solemn vow.

I filed on my ex, I caved to an ultimatum when I asked her to marry me and it was nothing but fake the whole time we were married. She wanted the happy household image and that was it. I filed and lost everything in the house I didnít carry out. But I would have gladly gave her double to be done with it

This thread breaks my heart. This is just part of what is wrong with America and the world in general... integrity (on both sides) just does not seem to mean anything any longer... and just another thing in the check-off boxes for signs of the end times...

God said ď go forth and be fruitful and multiply ď why didnít he put a warning sign on them, caution !!!! Maybe be dangerous, crazy, and spiteful
Please give me a bible quote about craziness with women

Back in the old bible days, when a woman didnít act like a wife , you could go Bury her in the ground up to her neck and every one who knows her could come over and throw rocks at her head till marriage was over
