I tested this method awhile back on a dozen various sized hogs and its surprisingly accurate.

I made a spreadsheet I put in the girth and length it ciphers the weight

As Always My Heart is filled with Love for you and Your Families. Not because I am commanded to Love my Neighbor but because I can, am able to and it brings me Joy.

I’ve been using that chart for awhile now, and when first using it also weighed the hogs on my scale. It’s accurate enough that I stopped weighing hogs that were gonna feed the yotes anyway. Way easier to measure them. Actually, as many as we’ve killed, I’ve gotten pretty good at estimating weights. Usually not off over 10/15 lbs. either way on smaller hogs or 15/20 lbs. on big hogs.

Surprisingly this chart can be used on a woman's thighs by adding the weight plus 100 lbs.
Pretty accurate and more fun than measuring swine.
