Default Yankee fans, some of them, may be the lowest form of life on the planet...

I've not met enough yankee fans to formulate an opinion on them as a whole but that's pretty Sh**ty. 2 incidents in 2 games. The only fans i've met are bandwagoners here so I don't pay them any mind.

That crowd was MIA in the 8th inning last night! I sure hope they win tonight. You'll hear Joe Buck's tears hitting the floor if they win tonight.

Taunting in baseball has always been pretty harsh, and it's fair to point out that the Yankees fans are quite possibly harder on their own team than they are the visitors. Absolutely raining down boos last night while there were still actually people at the ballpark.

Greinke said he never heard it, but it doesn't surprise me that fans went there. When you hear about a guy that makes tens of millions of dollars to play a game that has had issues in certain places due to stress and anxiety, it's not that hard to envision the home crowd sorta taking that ball and running with it.

Seems like a great park to take the family for a game. Thousands of fans chanting "F Altuve"..... first class city. First class fans. I'm sure Dinero was out there leading the charge!

I went to a game there many years ago, and it was nothing like that. We had a really good time, and I saw none of what went on last night. Maybe it's a playoff thing, but going after a guy over depression is crossing a line.

Texas born and raised but a diehard Yankees fan. This crap probably happens at every ballpark in the country and at a lot of college settings. Is it right, NO! It should not be tolerate and should be taken seriously and the perps thrown out of the park! If they start throwing items on the field or at players, then they should be ejected, charges filed and never allowed back in the park.

I do not care what team or city it happens it, it ain't right!

Nope...itís about 99.9% of them. Cheering when opposing players get beaned and also when balls are high up toward the batters head. I love it when the Astros win but itís even sweeter when we beat the brakes off that trash up north.

booing a team, home or visitor, is one thing.....the insults from last night apparently went well beyond that......and, if Joe Buck comes across as one-sided for the yankees, the guy last night, Joe Davis, was even more obvious....Go Astros, Kick Bu..., Take Names

Anybody been in the outfield sections in big post season games in Texas? You will catch the same thing. I would venture to say it’s in almost any big playoff game in any sport. Nothing off limits when trying to get in the opposing teams head.

I have no doubt of the rudeness and lack of humanity in the stadium this week....but I've got to give a different perspective.

I was in NYC for a week during Thanksgiving in 2017 (shortly after we won the WS). I wore astros gear for most of the week. I lost count of the people on the streets, at the airport, in the subways, at restaurants, etc. that either came up and told me congrats on the WS win or engaged in lighthearted banter. We didn't encounter any rude people during the entire week. Everyone we asked for directions or help with the subway system was very helpful and kind. The guys at the airport security at JFK on the way home were wanting to trade me a Yankees cap for my Astros cap then teased about confiscating my shirt. We had a really great time. Hell...my tmobile phone wasn't working due to a network issue and the times square tmobile store got me a freaking loaner phone when they couldn't figure it out right away. I was so impressed that I ended up buying a new phone from them the next day to show my appreciation.

So...there's that.

Not necessarily.....😉

NY CITY and the people that reside there are a different breed. I've taught there for many years now and coached at multiple major tournaments there over the years.

I actually like it/them, no BS, they either like you or they don't and there's simply no in between. You don't get the "smile to your face then rip ya a new one behind your back" BS that's seemingly pretty prevalent in other parts of our country/world.

With all of that said, NY sports "fans" can cross over the line and quite often do just that. However, yelling garbage at a professional athlete is simply part of it when you're playing in NY. Hell, they do this at a GOLF tournament at times. So, what do you expect when it involves their beloved Yankees and a possible world series berth? When it stoops to the level of throwing objects at players, starting fights, etc, well, that's WAY over the line and shouldn't be tolerated..... ever....

One thing I can guarantee you is this, ALL professional athletes KNOW the deal when competing against NY teams in NY and are prepared for the worst. I'm sure the vast majority look forward to it as it's got to be SO much fun to shut them up.... hehehe. The Astros sure shut them up last night about the 8th inning....👍🏼

One thing I can't stand is low class taunting during sporting events. Its one thing to support your team, talk a little good natured trash, but when you get on a personal level and straight up taunt players with personal insults, character attacks, it makes my blood boil.

I am not supporting the jackwards in the stands however I have had a similar experience. I too was in NY in 2017 and saw a game at Foley's Bar and Grill. If anyone know of that bar it is Yankee baseball mecca. There were 3 of us sporting Astro gear and about 300 drunk Yankee fans. We had a good time even had some beers bought for us. Jackwards everywhere and some good folk everywhere as well.

Go Astros

Biggest ******* fan I have ever met was the DB in front of us at the 2017 ALCS and he was an Astros fan. All the other fans around us where pretty fun and ribbing going back and fourth. Thereís an idiot in every crowd.

Not saying he was not any of what you mentioned. Point being made was here you are talking crap about a dead man. And, that is ok. But, talking crap about a live man's disabilities is not?

Doing either was pretty pathetic. But hey.... I know you are a real tough hard *** and always right.

What is wrong with talking crap about a dead man? If a man is a POS when alive, he doesn't automatically get better when he turns cold. If a man wants to be remembered fondly, then he ought to live his life that way. If he chooses to live like Dale described, then why should he be remembered any differently?

I can make this real easy to understandÖ One of those men made choices almost daily throughout his life to be a thief, coward, piece of ****Ö The other was born with a disability he cannot help.
