Was at a friends ranch riding around with him and we pulled up to an area with stored hay. He is feeding hay that has peanuts mixed in with the hay still in the full shell - I have never seen or heard of this before - he said it was 30% protein? Also said around $11 per square bale -

Yep, back in the 80s after we'd harvest peanuts then we'd bale hay and feed our cattle all winter long
