    Home-Made bow press

I made this from aluminum around the farm my in-laws own. It took less than 2 hours to make. I would imagine its less than 100$ to make considering most bow presses that are like this run upwards of 200$ to 300$ Just before you compress your bow all the way, do it slightly and make sure nothing has too much torque. My first attempt the arms started to bend so I had to let it off carefully, but thankfully everything is alright and now its perfect for what i need.

I bet that turn buckle is a real joy to work with but it'll work. I made a very simple press by welding fingers onto a pipe clamp. It works great for tuning but does not have enough travel to take the limbs off a bow. So one of these days I will build a legit press.
