    Which scope rings?

I have a new scope on the way for a 6.5 creedmore for my daughter. I am not a gun guy. Is there good rings that don’t cost $150?

This is the scope I have on the way

    Thank you

Plenty of folks make good rings.
I like the Leupold rings I used recently on my Henry Long Ranger

You wouldn’t put cheap tires on a Porsche, right?

Seriously, every year on my lease we see a member or a guest that has “rifle” problems. 50% of the time it’s cheap rings/bases that somehow are loose.

Warne, Talley, Badger Ordinance, to name a few. Make sure you use a torque wrench and thread locker and have peace of mind.

Not saying I’m going to put cheap ones on. I do t know which ones to buy. If I need to spend $150 I will. You ask me a question about a bow and I can answer. I don’t know about guns.

          Thanks for your response

Understood - does your rifle have a picatanny rail?

If so, I prefer Warne - they are heavy but built like a tank.

If no rail and you don’t want to add a rail I prefer Leupold or Talley.

If you need help mounting I’ve got all the tools in Fort Worth and I don’t mind helping a brother out.

Thank you. It has a rail. I’ll check out the Warne mounts!!!

Is this what you are recommending?

I've used burris mounts like that on ARs and that should work if you've got a rail. That said I've been told Warne, vortex and Burris are made in the same place.

I just ordered some Leupold backcountry rings to mount the scope on my APR rifle when it comes in. I’ve been pleased with Leupold rings on other rifles and hopefully these work as well as those have over the years.

I too have had great luck with DNZ's, but none of the DNZ's I have experience with work on rails.

They are out there, but they are pricey.
