    Cheap DIY bow target

    materials:
    1 12' 1x12
    1 2x4
    circular saw
    staple gun
    1.5-2" wood screws
    couple pieces of carpet
    drill gun
    fishing line or string
    bottle caps
large amount of feed sacks or cloth strips

its very easy to build and effective to shoot. cut 8 corner braces and 2 bases(2-3') out of the 2x4. cut the 1x12 into 4 3' pieces. screw together as shown. staple one side of carpet, pulling it reasonably tight as your staple it. attach the other side halfway up and then fill the cavity with your fill material, sacks or cloth, and then staple close, again reasonably tight. screw 3 wood screws in the top and bottom and then run Your fishing line/string between the screws on the top and bottom. split your bottle caps with a knife and snap on the strings. now you have a small target to aim at that is pretty fun to shatter when you hit it. "aim small miss small" (DONT SHOOT BROADHEADS IN IT!)

That’s a good idea for an archery target, and you built a nice project. I like that “aim small” bottle cap to shoot at, and with your set up you can move the cap around the target to avoid shooting out the center. Good job, now go aim small, miss small.

Go to your local HD/Lowes/feed store and get a load of the pallet wrap they throw away for stuffing--works great.

That and those pesky polybags they give you at the grocery store. Packem tight!
