Doc’s got a second date! Brown Bear Round #2

It wouldn’t be a docmay hunt without some travel issues. I got to anchorage and looked at the outgoing flights. Ravn had two listed for kodiak. One at 420 pm and one at 840 pm. The 420 pm listed as cancelled and they had announced all flights delayed due to high winds. My heart started sinking. Made it to the counter to check in. Girl says the board has been wrong for months and I’m on the last flight out at 540 pm. It’s still a go but waiting on weather update. That’s the flight I had on my schedule.



Now it’s time for an Alaskan Amber!

Much better weather today! Back at the airport and bags checked. I spoke to the beaver girls at 0800 and sounds like that is all good. Trying to find coffee and some breakfast. Cut it too close for the shuttle this am.

Well, here we go again! My bowcase made it to kodiak but not my duffel bag! I have enough to hunt but crap, my luck with travel has to change!!!!!!

Thank God I pack for this! I have hunting boots on now. My rain gear is in my carry on backpack. Should be enough clothes to hunt a couple days in my bowcase. May not be toasty warm but it’s doable. Not great shooting my bow without contacts but again it can be done.
