If gas is artificially inflated by imposing a .50 cent tax and crude oil stays below $70, our economy is going to tank

I heard the tax increase was for California.

I haven't heard a word about it, and with the amount of fuel we move I believe I would know by now. It was being discussed raising it a few cents in 2016 I believe. To help fund road repair supposedly caused by oilfield traffic.

I think they are trying to come up with funds for road and bridge repair. # of bridges in critical condition is scary

Correction, just got gas for $2.09 at Costco in Katy. Can't remember the last time it was so close to being under $2.

Umm.... any additional tax would be passed on to consumers, just like all taxes.

It was the same here yesterday. Just went and it dropped another dime overnight. Topped off a half a tank for under $20. Sweet!
